Africa Green Recovery Accelerator
Powering Africa’s Green Transformation through Collaboration, Innovation, and Sustainable Impact.
The African Green Recovery Accelerator, in partnership with Art2Green Alliance Networks, operates across all 54 African countries
The African Green Recovery Accelerator is a six-month high impact program aimed at catalyzing green economic development across Africa. It empowers key stakeholders to drive sustainable growth through innovation, investment, and collaborative action in line with the African Union Green Recovery Action Plan and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The African Green Recovery Accelerator is a strategic initiative of the Art2Green Africa Alliance, designed to drive Africa’s transition to a green economy by utilizing the collective strength of our collaborative/implementing partners.
The accelerator brings together four critical stakeholder groups to foster innovation, mobilize resources, and implement scalable green solutions for the continent’s recovery and transformation: Civil Society, Impact Investors, Green Innovators and Government/Development Agencies.

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
CSOs are critical in connecting communities to green initiatives and policies.
Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)

- Grassroots Capacity Building: Providing access to resources and knowledge for grassroots engagement on climate action, ecosystem conservation, and sustainable livelihoods.
- Collaboration Platforms: Facilitating partnerships between CSOs and local governments, businesses, and innovators to co-create green economy projects that address local challenges.
- Monitoring and Accountability: Engaging civil society in monitoring the progress of green initiatives and holding stakeholders accountable for transparent and effective action.
Outcomes for Civil Society
Enhanced capacity for advocacy, increased involvement in green policy discussions, and stronger collaboration with other sectors to implement green projects at the community level.

Innovators and entrepreneurs are central to developing the solutions necessary for Africa’s green transition.
The Accelerator fosters
Innovation Hubs: Establishing physical and virtual spaces where green innovators can collaborate, test new ideas, and access mentorship and resources.
Research & Development Support: Facilitating partnerships with universities, research institutes, and private sector entities to advance research in clean technologies, eco-friendly products, and circular economy solutions.
Scale-Up Pathways: Helping early-stage green innovators scale their solutions by providing them with business development support, access to finance, and exposure to potential markets.
Collaborative Ecosystems: Encouraging cross-sector partnerships between innovators, governments, and civil society to co-develop solutions that meet Africa’s unique ecological and socio-economic challenges.
Outcomes for Green Innovators
Accelerated development of green technologies, enhanced market access, and partnerships that enable scaling and commercialization of green solutions.

Government and Development Agencies
Governments and development agencies provide the enabling environment and policies for green growth
The Accelerator supports these actors through:
Policy Advisory and Support: Providing technical expertise and policy recommendations to governments for creating regulatory frameworks that promote green investments and innovation.
Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs): Facilitating PPPs that bring together public and private sector actors to fund and implement large-scale green infrastructure projects.
Capacity Building for Policymakers: Training programs to enhance the capacity of government officials in designing and implementing effective green recovery plans and environmental regulations.
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Offering M&E tools and frameworks to help governments and development agencies track progress and ensure accountability in green recovery initiatives.
Outcomes for Governments and Development Agencies
Strengthened policy frameworks for green growth, successful implementation of green recovery projects, and improved collaboration with other stakeholders.
