Partnership Action Plan: “The OnePAGE Framework”

The Art2Green Africa Alliance is designed to mobilize multi-stakeholder collaborations and facilitate green economy development across Africa. Acting as an ‘Open Network to Enable Partnerships for Art2Green Exchange’, the Alliance brings together diverse actors from governments, private sector, civil society, academia, and financial institutions to co-create innovative and sustainable solutions for Africa’s green recovery and development.

The Alliance is structured around five key actions, forming the foundation of its approach:

Foster multistakeholder collaboration

The Alliance actively promotes partnerships across sectors to leverage the collective strengths and expertise of various stakeholders. By engaging governments, NGOs, businesses, and local communities, the Alliance fosters collaboration that is inclusive, participatory, and focused on sustainable development outcomes.

Deploy innovative domestic resource mobilization mechanisms

Recognizing the need for sustainable funding solutions, the Alliance champions the development and implementation of finance mobilization mechanisms that encourage local investment in sustainable projects and enhance resource efficiency in allocation and usage, ensuring targeted outcomes.

Drive scaled eco-social impact

The Alliance is committed to scaling up sustainable development efforts by integrating environmental, social, and economic dimensions of growth. This includes empowering marginalized communities, addressing energy poverty, and promoting eco-friendly business models to stimulate job creation.

Activate context-specific solutions

Africa's diverse ecosystems and cultural landscapes require tailored approaches. The Alliance emphasizes the importance of designing solutions that are context-specific, ensuring they meet the unique ecological, social, and economic needs of each region. From renewable energy initiatives to resilient agricultural systems, interventions are designed to respond to local needs and priorities.

Amplify shared value creation

Central to the Alliance’s mission is the principle of creating shared value for all stakeholders by ensure that all actions generate value not just for individual partners but for society at large. This involves creating inclusive growth models that balance environmental sustainability with economic progress, empowering communities to participate in and benefit from green initiatives.

Partnership Participation Zones

The Art2Green Africa Alliance promotes inclusive collaboration by engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders across four main zones:

Collaborative/ implementing partners

These include organizations, businesses, NGOs, creative entrepreneurs, government agencies, foundations, and development agencies that have expertise in implementing green economy solutions. They play a key role in driving localized interventions and strategies to support sustainable development and conservation efforts.

Impact investors

Development banks, financial institutions, diplomatic communities, and impact investment networks/firms are critical for funding the initiatives. Their investments will support projects and programs that align with the goals of the African Union Green Recovery Action Plan and SDGs, ensuring that capital flows into areas where it can drive measurable eco-social impact.

Knowledge contributors

Universities, research institutes, educational bodies, and consultancies contribute technical expertise, research, and innovation. They will guide evidence-based decision-making, ensuring that the interventions are grounded in sound data and best practices in green development and sustainability.

Volunteers

Individual eco-activists, students, and community advocates are welcomed to join hands-on initiatives or participate in advocacy campaigns. They serve as the grassroots engine, mobilizing communities and amplifying the reach of the Alliance's programs
